The Plot Planning Sheet

The Plot Planning Sheet is a useful tool for planning a new creative writing project.
Whether it is fiction or non fiction, a novel or a short story, the Plot Planning Sheet can help you to organise and keep track of your ideas, and track the progress of your story.

This tool helps you to define the Beginning, Build-Up and Climax of your story. The Working Plot Plan allows you to outline the Desired Emotion, Theme, and Dramatic Highspot, and the Main Character’s Purpose.  The first and second plot units detail the Focal Points and the Main Characters Response.

Participants will have completed their own Plot Planning Sheet for a new project or work-in-progress.

-Managing procrastination and interruptions that keep you from achieving your goal
-Being accountable and persistent through the fun and mundane parts of your goal.

Participants are encouraged to bring pen & paper, laptop, or whatever materials are preferred for setting goals.

Harness Your Social Media

During this workshop, I will share tips and information about establishing and maintaining your online presence. From Instagram accounts, Facebook pages and groups to websites and blogs, I will talk you through these platforms to help you decide which are most appropriate for your audience, along with  productivity tools to simplify the process and save you time.

Harness Your Short Story Writing

In this workshop, I will draw on my personal success from multiple competition wins to help you master short story writing. I will also show you the value of practicing short-form writing, and how it can improve your storytelling overall. Participants will have the opportunity to write their own flash fiction short story up to 500 words.

Workshops are generally one hour in length

Pomodoro Productivity Sessions

Finding time to work on side hustles, goals and creative projects can be hard. Life gets in the way. It’s full of disruptions, competing priorities, and procrastination.

The Pomodoro Technique is a time management method based on 25-minute stretches of focused work broken by five-minute breaks. Longer breaks, typically 15 to 30 minutes, are taken after four consecutive work intervals.

Participants will enjoy dedicated time to work on their projects, guided by the Pomodoro Technique. These self-guided sessions are overseen by a facilitator who manages the timer, work stretches and breaks.

These sessions can be hosted in meeting rooms, libraries, community centres, schools etc. Sessions can be 3, 5 and 6 hours in duration.
