I spent six days in the small village of Kinvara doing research for my main characters childhood homes. Kinvara is small, but I managed to get lost more than once. My Airbnb host had suggested a nice walk to do which would take me from the main street of town in a loop down past the water. I took the wrong road and ended up walking along the road toward Gort, a nearby town. I knew fairy early on that I was lost, but I kept walking anyway.
The road took me past several farm properties. There was no-one else around, and hardly any cars came by. I loved this feeling; this was exactly where my soul wanted to be. Lost in Ireland.
