Back On Schedule Following Some Technical Difficulties

Gawd, computers! Mine will be the death of me!!

Yesterday I started the rewrite of my book Paid To Dance: Asha’s Story Part Two, but all the technical issues I’ve had the past 24 hours, I’ve been wondering if it was a sign that I shouldn’t be doing this rewrite!!

Since early December the File Explorer on my computer has been glitching, meaning I had to close and reopen it a bunch of times before I could even get a document to open. Well, this afternoon I finally cracked the sh**ts (a common expression here in Australia when something infuriates you). After following the steps in a simple video tutorial sent by a friend, I actually managed to fix the glitch (fingers crossed).

With File Explorer fixed I was FINALLY able to open my Word document, but after working on the new Paid To Dance draft for a good few hours, it wouldn’t save due to a ‘permission error’. FFS!!

So back to Google to try and solve another IT problem. Turns out, suddenlt the system didn’t like the fact I had two separate documents with the same name in separate folders (even though these have harmoniously existed for some time now).

Hoping all is smooth sailing from here on in, and I can actually spend my spare time WRITING instead of fixing computer problems!!
